Loretta is scheduled to release a new album, Wouldnât It Be Great, on Aug. 18. All of the tunes on the new 10-song offering were penned or co-penned by Loretta. Like the albumâs predecessor, the Grammy-nominated Full Circle (March 2016), Wouldnât It Be Great was mainly recorded at the Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville, Tenn., with producers Patsy Lynn Russell and John Carter Cash. The album features new songs âRubyâs Stool,â âAinât No Time to Goâ and âIâm Dying for Someone to Live Forâ alongside newly recorded renditions of past compositions such as âGod Makes No Mistakes,â âCoal Minerâs Daughterâ and âDonât Come Home Aâ Drinkinâ (With Lovinâ on Your Mind).â
âI think you try to do better with every record you put out,â Loretta said in a press release in April. âItâs just everyday livingâand everybody wants to know, âWell, what is it about your songs that people like?â I think youâve got to tell your stories. I just think it hits everybody, you know, the songs.â
