Luke Combsâ new wife-inspire song, âForever After All,â debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart (streaming, sales and airplay-based) this week. The new tune also debuted at No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 chart, marking the highest entrance ever for a male country solo artist.
The song is one of five brand-new tracks featured on Lukeâs new deluxe album, What You See Ainât Always What You Get, which also includes all 18 songs from the digital version of Lukeâs 2019 sophomore album, What You See Is What You Get.
The new tune features Luke sweetly crooning about his wife, Nicole Hocking: âThey say nothinâ lasts forever / But they ainât seen us together / Or the way the moonlight dances in your eyes / And I know theyâll be that moment / The Good Lord calls one of us home and / One wonât have the other by their side / But heaven knows that that wonât last too long / Maybe some thing last forever after all.â
After dating for four years, Luke and Nicole tied the knot on Aug. 1 in Florida. Nicole was the muse for Lukeâs No. 1 single âBeautiful Crazy,â as well as âBetter Together.â
