Blake Sheltonâs âGodâs Countryâ was named Single of the Year at the ACM Awards.
Blake scored his 26th No. 1 single with the tune in July 2019. Penned by Michael Hardy, Jordan Schmidt and Devin Dawson, âGodâs Countryâ is Blakeâs first win in the ACM Single of the Year category.
âThank you to the fans and thank you Gwen Stefani for continuing to encourage me to keep doing this and keep trying and being my inspiration,â said Blake via video after winning the award. âAnd thank you, God. Thank you, everybody. Single of the YearâŠyes!â
The ACM Awards aired live from Nashville on Sept. 16 with first-time host Keith Urban. The show took place at three iconic Nashville institutions: the Grand Ole Opry House, The Bluebird Cafe and Ryman Auditorium.
