Getting to go to a concert to see your favorite artist or even getting to meet them backstage seems like the perfect moment for a life changing question to be askedâŠbut Brantley Gilbert says, guys may want to rethink that opportunity, âWeâve had people propose in meet and greet lines and at shows and everything else. But I tell everybody, itâs like, even when itâs 100% chance that sheâs gonna say yes, that youâve talked about it and you havenât been in an argument that day, itâs a vulnerable position.â
Brantley thinks guys donât really think about the moment of the proposal, âItâs somewhere we donât spend much time in our lives. As men sometimes, not that weâre not willing to, but sometimes we just donât know how to say what it is we feel.â
But he also think if your style has work so farâŠkeep it up, âYou got to this point just doing you, so man, just do you.â
Brantley, like all artists, has seen proposals that went as plannedâŠand heâs also seen plenty that have gone off the rails. So, he offers some good advice when it comes to popping the question, âIn your way, tell her what it is about her that makes you want to marry her.â
And Brantleyâs worst advice is, âIf you canât come up with anything get off your knee and run in the other direction. Thatâs terrible advice. (laugh)â
For fans that get engaged at Brantleyâs show in the near futureâŠwill they use his âThe Worst Country Song Of All Timeâ as their wedding song?
