The Devil went down to Georgia, and he found a Georgia boy to help Charlie Daniels celebrate his 80th birthday at the 41st annual Volunteer Jam on Nov. 30 at Nashvilleâs Bridgestone Arena.
Georgia native and reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year Luke Bryan has been added to the lineup that already includes Chris Stapleton, Travis Tritt, Kid Rock and Larry the Cable Guy.
Since 1974, Charlie has been bringing his musician and celebrity friends together on a âvolunteerâ basis to âjam,â while raising money for worthy causes. A portion of the proceeds from this yearâs event will go to the The Journey Home Project, a nonprofit co-founded by charlie that helps veterans of the United States Armed Forces.
âThis year, I will celebrate two milestones, my 80th birthday and the Volunteer Jam,â said Charlie. âItâs pretty amazing that weâre both alive and kicking and still going strong. Ainât it good to be alive and be in Tennessee!â
Stay tuned. More musical acts will be announced soon.
Tickets are on sale now and range from $25 to $80.
